As the backbone organization, Mat-Su Health Foundation provides dedicated staff for R.O.C.K. Mat-Su. The backbone organization staff are a critical component of the Collective Impact framework, as they maintain overall strategic coherence and manage the day-to-day operations of the collective. Staff functions include stakeholder engagement, communications, data collection and analysis, and administrative support.
The Director of R.O.C.K. Mat-Su provides high-level strategic thinking for the collective and closely manages progress towards goals. The Operations Manager ensures that the collective is building public will, guides aligned activities, mobilizing funding, and supports the continuous communication with our members. In order to assure that the collective is inclusive of all Mat-Su communities, two part-time community coordinators are housed in communities outside the Mat-Su core area. These coordinators support outlying communities by serving as a liaisons to the workgroups, and by identifying and providing support for local strategies that fit their unique communities.
The staff of R.O.C.K. Mat-Su operates under the oversight of a Youth Advisory Board, at the direction of a Steering Committee, and under the governance of the Mat-Su Health Foundation Program Committee. The work of the collective is coordinated by working groups in collaboration with our staff.
