We believe that changing how we think, what we do, and how we talk is essential to transforming the systems that influence children and families. We host community events and high-quality training opportunities that strengthen the social fabric of our community and supports system-wide change. Learn more about our events and trainings below.

Ongoing Trainings

Stewards of Children® Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training

Child sexual abuse is likely the most prevalent health problem children face, with the most serious array of consequences. The foundational Stewards of Children® workshop is two-hours in length and uses real people and real stories to show you how to protect children. Additional training modules are available that address talking with children about safety, healthy touch, responding as a mandated reporter, bystander interventions, and commercial sexual exploitation. Look for a free upcoming public workshop, or contact R.O.C.K. Mat-Su to schedule a training at your location.

Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences & Trauma Sensitive Practices

Frequent or prolonged exposure to stress can create toxic stress, which can damage the developing brain of a child and their overall lifelong health. Free workshops are offered to adults who are interested in learning how to identify and counteract Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and develop resilience. Workshops are typically 90-minutes in length, but can be customized to your needs. Look for a free upcoming public workshop, or contact R.O.C.K. Mat-Su to schedule a training at your location.
